| Товарищи! Этот журнал не умер, просто у меня сейчас совершенно не хватает на него времени. Я планирую возобновить его в конце лета. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |
| A bunch of David's songs for you, while I'm leaving for tomorrow's Current 93 show in Prague.

| We've been tirelessly waiting for the new release of David Renamed Tibet. Thanks to the unknown enthusiasts, we now have a low-quality preview.
By posting these MP3s, I'm trying to cater for both true fans, who, no doubt, devoted all their time recently to immersing themselves into the sea sailed by the Black Ships, and the not yet initiated, who nevertheless can eventually be converted and persuaded that, despite all the circumstances, God is Love. The former will enjoy two "conventional" performances of Idumea, while the latter can use the opportunity to taste two definite highlights of the new album — not, however, sung by David Indecisive Michael himself.
So, ladies and gentlemen, here's for you The Sacred Harp Book's Idumea as performed by:
- Marc Almond
, opening the new C93 album and touching our very soul with his sadness.
- Shirley Collins
, closing this album and completely smashing our devilish pride with her inner strength (note also the extended lyrics not found in the canon).
- Sacred Harp Singers
, by their raw might blending us into the eternal Body of our Lord (actually part of the "Cold Mountain" soundtrack).
- The Young Tradition
, giving us an insight into how this hymn could be sung at rural conventions across America some two hundred years ago.
